TDAA Episode 39 | What is Science Anyway?

This week, Steve Sparks et al. ask what is science? And why does it keep changing its mind??

We bounce from ancient theories (shoutout to the guys who were confidently wrong) to modern science, where being wrong is actually acceptable as long as you can prove it. Disprovability! It’s not just a big word, it’s a lifestyle.

We get into why some people trust science, why some people definitely don’t, and how objective data is supposed to keep us all from just vibing our way through reality. We also wander into subjective vs. objective measurement, mental health, neuroscience, and a few moments where it feels like we almost understand what’s going on.

Basically: science is always evolving, old ideas die (RIP), and skepticism is your friend as long as you’re not being weird about it.

If you’ve ever wondered how we went from Aristotle to whatever’s happening now… this one’s for you.
